Mount Snow
Five minutes up the road. In summer: scenic chairlift rides, lift-served mountain biking and hiking with big views over the valley.
Wilmington & Lake Whitingham
Wilmington, about 10 minutes south on Route 100, has a lovely historic main street with shops and cafés — try the Mill & Whistle Café for breakfast.
Nearby Lake Whitingham (Harriman Reservoir) is great for a swim or a paddle.

- Molly Stark State Park, Wilmington — a short hike up to a fire tower with views across the Green Mountains
- Hogback Mountain overlook, Route 9 in Marlboro — the famous "100-mile view"
